New Features: LinkedIn Adds Video Messaging, Photo Tagging, and Reactions

Do you use LinkedIn for your digital marketing efforts? The social business network has added several new features that are making it easier for you to connect with your target audience.

In a recent blog post, the company outlined some of these great new updates. Here’s what you need to know:

Photo Tagging

Just like Facebook, you can now tag people in the photos you upload to your LinkedIn profile.


Sometimes you need more than just a like. Now you can react to posts on LinkedIn with lightbulbs for good ideas, a clap to show support or appreciation, and a heart to show love.

Video Messaging

Video is the fastest growing form of communication and one of the best ways to market your business. Video has been increasingly popular on LinkedIn, and now the network has added a video messaging feature in private messaging as well as on your profile.


LinkedIn has tweaked its mobile app design. The post button can now be found at the bottom-center of the screen, and the message button is at the top-right corner.

If you’re part of a group, LinkedIn has made it easier to find it along with any hashtags your follow. If you’re using LinkedIn on your Desktop, you’ll find these options on your feed’s right side. If you’re using the mobile app, you’ll see them appear once the profile picture is tapped on.
